Is BV an STD?

I feel so alone at this time in my life. I started itching on the star of my cycle and I thought maybe I was yeast. After my cycle went off, I went to the gyno and that is where I found out that I had BV. My labs did not come back yet for a definite answer, but the my gyno did a swab and told me by the look of my discharge it looks like BV. I had unprotected sex pullout no sperm at all 3 weeks before my period started which has me thinking that I got it from the guy I slept with. I am so mad angry and hurt. I am also afraid to test for STDs. There is no telling what they might fine.
Can a doctor tell just by how discharge look that I have BV
