I'm 40 and I have loose motions for more than a month now, I feel like pains all over the large intestine part and around the naval as well. Pains are not in one location and are often on and off for few days, motions are sometimes regular and suddenly watery.

Please Help

Im a 24 male from Australia, in January I had a severe anaphylaxis from a soba noodle/ tempura prawns dish I had while travelling to Japan. Subsequently I came home with many issues, mostly all relating to my gut, several months passed with no improvement so I had many tests done and I was told I had coeliac disease. My issue is because of all the trauma my life has been ruined by a fear of foods, I have had my blood tested against the main allergens (buckwheat and soy) and have had skin ***** testing done for all the elements in the dish I had (including prawn) all of which have come back negative. I am living in such fear that I am finding it impossible to eat anything other than meat and vege, as irrational as it is I cannot bring myself to try different foods, even those with negative results. I have also developed a fear of exercise due to reading too much about allergy cofactors. If anyone has gone through similar any advice would be great as the coeliac disease is a hard enough adjustment without a fear of food allergies.

Trying to make sense of things

I have been diagnosed with many things although never a personality disorder. One of my major diagnoses's is OCD. I always considered that the reason for my problems but something doesn't add up. People with OCD aren't known to be manipulative liars. I did some research and came up with borderline personality disorder. It all seems to fit. I have racing thoughts. I feel emotionless alot of the time unless something directly affects me. Most of all, I constantly lie and manipulate for a reason I don't know. I lied to my best friend and told him I had been abused . I kept that lie going for a long time and the whole I knew it was wrong but I didn't feel anything. I would coldly analyse why I was doing it and what kind of person that made me and even though I realised I was evil, I never really felt anything about it. When my friend found out and stopped talking to me, thats when I felt. I felt guilty and upset, and mad at myself. But it took suffering a consequence to make me feel that way. Does that sound like borderline to anyone?

My Deadly Experience on Xanax

Chris Cornell died by suicide. He was one of my favorite singers, and he had everything to live for so why suicide? It may be due to something not many people realize so I want to share my personal story. It is a little difficult to share this, but I do it in the hope of preventing tragic deaths in other families.


I am 100% certain there are thousands of people who commit suicide every year because (AND ONLY BECAUSE) they are taking a prescription medication that literally caused them to do it. I believe wholeheartedly that is what happened to Chris Cornell. I say that because I believe I survived what he experienced in his final moments.


My tragedy began in 2013 when I was having a lot of uncomfortable symptoms due to aging and a few different doctors prescribed Xanax. The Xanax alleviated my uncomfortable physical symptoms, but it also gave me a much worse problem--it made me completely suicidal. I was not depressed or suicidal before taking Xanax. I was 48 years old, happily married, in a career I love, and happy with my life. It was the prescription that made me sick and turned me into a completely different and suicidal person.


Xanax literally "high jacked" my brain. That's the most accurate way I can describe it. It made me wake up every day thinking of ways to end my life -- completely against my will and normal personality. I was like a suicidal “robot” while on Xanax. I tried to kill myself four times. We couldn’t figure out why I was doing that, and the doctors kept insisting I needed more benzodiazepine drugs or different ones. They prescribed Xanax, Klonopin, and Ativan at different times. They insisted the drugs weren’t the problem even though they went to medical school for 8 years where they learned those meds can cause suicidal thoughts and actions. SMH. Doctors don’t always know what’s right.


Six months into this nightmare we finally found a doctor who decided to take me off the benzodiazepines. After I got off the meds ALL my suicidal thoughts and actions went away completely. I went back to my normal self. It was the meds that messed me up. I have had no problems with suicidal thoughts or actions since stopping the medications.


I’ll also tell you those meds made me 100% agoraphobic and anxious. Before the meds I used to love to go shopping, attend craft shows, see movies, and walk our dogs. While on the meds I was too terrified to do any of those things. The meds completely changed who I was. It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever been through in my life.


So now every time I hear of a person who died from suicide, my first thoughts are always "I wonder if that person was on meds. Meds probably did this to them. I bet they would never do this in their non-medicated mind." I read all the news articles to see if that person was on Xanax, Klonopin, or Ativan, etc. Sure enough many, many suicide victims are. I call them “victims” because they are truly victims of those meds in my humble opinion.


I post these messages to warn people. Please warn people. Tell them my story if you need to. Better yet, tell their family members the meds could be their ENTIRE problem. The person on the meds will not be well enough to understand this issue or the seriousness of it. That’s why you need to tell their family members. Please share this post if you care to because this issue needs to be talked about openly and often in order to save lives.


I realize meds help some people so I can't say that nobody should ever take them, but please know they can also do much more harm than good. In my humble opinion it's a "crap shoot". You don't know if meds are going to help you or cause you to kill yourself. That's very scary and not worth the risk in my opinion. Even being supervised did not stop my attempts to commit suicide. My husband asked his mom to stay with me while he went to work because he couldn’t trust me alone, and I went upstairs onto our roof and contemplated jumping off while she was downstairs. I thank God I survived this 7-month nightmare and lived to tell this story in an attempt to help others. I am heartbroken that Chris Cornell’s suicide attempt took his life.


I wish everyone knew how dangerous prescription drugs can be. I hope these words save some lives someday. I believe Chris Cornell’s death was in no way his fault. It is the fault of a horrible prescription drug that drug companies sell for major profits. Some doctors push these meds because they receive incentives from the drug company representatives for prescribing them. They are given luxurious vacations, gifts, and constant free food for their entire staff on a daily basis. I saw the food incentives being given firsthand while I was in the waiting room of my doctor’s office. It’s unethical and sickening! To me they have blood on their hands for doing this because of the many innocent people who are dying due to the negative effects of prescription drugs.


Please also know that while I was taking the meds I was completely powerless over them. Before I started taking the Xanax I was afraid to even take it because of the possible side effects. I kept a log of how often I was taking it and I took the lowest dose possible because I didn’t want to become addicted to it. I knew the bottle said it could cause suicidal thoughts, but I always thought that meant if I get those thoughts I’ll just stop taking the med and that would fix the problem. That’s not how it worked at all.


While on Xanax I could not even tell my husband I was having suicidal thoughts. I was literally sneaking out of the house at 2 a.m. to try and kill myself. I could not “reason” my way through this nightmare because that drug literally “high jacked” my brain. I woke up every day on automatic pilot thinking of ways to end my life and then acting on those thoughts. I find it extremely unexplainable how a drug can do that to a person, but it did. I know because I experienced it.


I wish the drug companies would develop a test to determine who will be affected negatively by prescription medications so those people can avoid taking them. Much research needs to be done in that area. I don’t know if a test like that is even possible, but it’s worth a try since they will probably never stop selling those medications.


Let me also tell you that 25 years before my nightmare on Xanax my mom tried to commit suicide out of nowhere. Like me she showed no prior signs of being depressed or suicidal. She was taking Ativan for anxiety, and out of the blue we got a call one day from our dad saying she was found unresponsive in the basement. She woke up from her coma in the hospital with no idea why she did that. She came so close to death that her doctor told us God saved her. At the time none of us could figure out why that happened. It was only a year after my experience that I realized why she did it. It was because of the Ativan she was taking for anxiety. I have no doubt about that. Chris Cornell was on Ativan too. From my experience and my mom’s experience, I have no doubt it was Ativan that caused his suicide. He had everything to live for. He loved his wife, kids, and career. He started a foundation to help kids. He was planning a vacation with is family. He had no signs of being suicidal. Ativan did this to him. I have no doubt about that. Prescription drugs kill many people.


I have been trying to get this information out to the public since 2013 when it happened to me. I post my story on my ******** page and in some of the comments sections about suicide victims I see in the news. I do this in an effort to save lives.


I pray that the legacy of Chris Cornell’s death will be that his wife and other family members of famous suicide victims will start a worldwide campaign to educate the public about the dangers of these medications. And I pray that campaign will save many, many lives.


RIP, Mr. Cornell. The music in Heaven is even more spectacular now that you are there.

Various head issues

Some background
Around 4 years ago i had a large tumor removed from inside my spinal column. It was located approx between my shoulderblades, was benign and was removed successfully. I have been having yearly MRI scans and my surgeon says its not coming back and healing very well.

Two years after this i had a gastric bypass to help lose weight i had put on because i couldn't exercise or even walk any distance for around 5-6 years (yes it took them that long to diagnose my tumor).

I have to have a B12 injection every three months because of the bypass surgery. I also need a testosterone injection every three months because of an issue with my pituitary gland.

Medication i currently take:
Oxycontin 40mg twice a day.
Pregabalin 150mg Twice a day.
Duloxetine 60mg twice a day.
Omeprazole 20mg once a day.
Forceval multivitamin/mineral supplement (for gastric bypass)

Current Issue
Recently (past 12 months) I have had various issues with my head.
Bad vision my eyes are always crossing giving me double vision which i can correct be concentrating. I am also seeing occasional flashes or i often thing something has gone by me very quickly in my peripheral vision.

I have bad ringing in my ears, which i assumed was tinnitus but my left ear often vibrates painfully when people speak.

The back of my head where it connects to my neck is incredibly stiff and i often have a lot of pain from there - the ache is constant.

Throat. I am always losing my voice when trying to have conversations - people have commented on it several times. My throat will feel incredibly sore but soon is okay again, I am assuming this has something to do with my acid reflux which i suffer from badly (i often wake up unable to breath with water pouring out of my nose, or i can feel liquid in my breathing (when i fully exhale i can hear liquid bubbling) this happens maybe once a month.

I had a few MRI Scans from various hospital departments (Ear, Nose & Throat etc) One of the scans was picked up by a endocrinologist because it showed dark spots on my brain, he noted that while they were expected at my current age (48) there seemed to be more than usual and because of my previous tumour he thought it should be looked into.

This brings me to my question here - could someone tell me what the following letter actually means;

I am in receipt of Ian's MRI of the brain which only showed some small vessel ischaemic changes without any significant abnormality. He also had an MRA which has only shown an abnormal variant end of the left vertebral artery and Hyperplastic right vertebral artery. No other significant abnormality has been reported. I have already reffed him on to various colleagues and I have not offered him another appointment. Should you wish for me to see him again, do feel free to refer him back.

I have no idea what those two artery items are, could someone tell me? Of course I will go see my GP asap but I would like some idea of whats going on before i meet him.

Help! Need Advice ASAP

My grandfather has what appears to be Dementia in the middle stages. He has been showing signs and digressing over the last 8 years. When he first began showing symptoms I alerted my grandmother (his wife) that he was in need of medical attention; she did nothing.
Now he's gotten so bad that he doesnt eat regularly, forgets where he is, forgets how to get where he's going when he drives, is becoming incontinent, is hyper aggressive and almost violent at times....long story short, he is getting very bad, very quickly. He sometimes has what my grandmother calls spells but really look like either a mini stroke or a grand mal seizure. He will get very bloodshot in the eyes, start shaking all over his body and hum for about 30 seconds, then he comes too and is very angry and lost. I believe this may have been the cause of his recent truck wreck. He drove his truck into a ditch and after he had no recollection of it happening.
Here's my question; What can possibly be done to get this man the medical treatment he so badly needs? He refuses to get checked out and his wife refuses to do anything at all, so is there anything in this world that can help me assist a very sick, very stubborn family member?

Is this really anxiety?

So for about 3 years now i have been suffering from anxiety disorder. But the things i am dealing with seems to be different from other people who suffer from from this. My symptoms are crippling tension, racing thoughts, stiff muscles, feeling out of touch with reality and more.

it is all pretty terrible but my biggest problem is this: i seem to get "reactions" from different foods and activities. the reactions entails me getting sudden extreme tension in my body and a big hightening of symptoms that will last for a long time (days) nothing like a panic attack. At first these reactions would only come from stimulants like coffee or if i made a hard workout at the gym, later they would come from spicy foods. every time i get a "reaction" i seem to get more vulnerable to getting another one, so i have been getting worse and worse for a time, and Theres more and more things that gives me reactions. I've tried CBT, it didn't do anything. i know most people who read this will think im having phobias, but im really not, im not afraid of foods or anything else for that matter. Does anyone have any usefull knowledge pertaining to this or similar experiences?? getting pretty desperate here...

Im on Pregabalin (lyrica) it lowers my symptoms a lot, but does not help with my problem.

So my wife has had a sudden boost with her sex drive. She has started wanting sex multiple times per day which I am not complaining about at all. So we have been having sexual intercourse 2 to 5 times a day if not more for the past 3 weeks straight and my testicles or tubes to the testicles have been pretty sore this week and I seem to be having a harder time performance wise I think because of it. Obsession about death

im really not sure but i feel like i have some sort of ocd that revolves around death. i cannot seem to stop think about death whether it's mine, a friend or family memebers, or a strangers. for my birthday about 2 years ago all i wanted to do was go to a death museum which, i did. ive also decided to change my major to become a medical examiner. ive been obsessed with death since i was a child (starting around 2nd grade) constantly imagining my own, whether it's a car crash, sudden illness, or murder. it seems like I'm only able to enjoy a show if it revolves around a murder/death. the only movies i like are gory horror films like saw. im not sure if im just over analyzing this or not but im scared that im choosing a career path solely based on a strange obsession and i would obviously like to stop the constant death images in my mind.

Thoughts on antibiotics...?

I have been sick the last 3 years. My main symptoms are muscles in my neck and shoulders are tight and nothing helps much. Also either due to the muscles or causing the muscles to be tight I have to use my accessory muscles to breath, that also affect my voice. swollen lymph nodes and I am also extremely fatigued. I have had a full work up and doctors don't know. They have check everything. In January I had a bad sinus infection. The dr gave me Penicillen. I noticed that during this time I was on it my symptoms started to lessen and I felt better. I could move my neck better, lymphnodes that have been swollen for the last 2 years went down and I was not as fatigued. This was not a placebo effect because I thought I was getting better due to my physical therapy but I crashed shortly after I got off the antibiotic. So I was looking into why I had about a week of being well and I noticed it coincided with the taking of the penicillin. Since then I have asked two doctors to put me on antibiotics. They refuse and say I do not have an infection. Why in two years of trying stuff and tests does something finally work and they refuse to give it to me. I understand all about antibiotics. I rarely take them. In fact the penicillin was the first antibiotic I have taken in over a decade. How can I convince a dr to treat me? If something works shouldn't I try it instead of staying sick? Any thoughts on this or what I can do.

Ear crackling, ringing, and pressure for 3 months ENT tests show nothing

Hi all, this started after an upper respiratory infection over 3 months ago. My ears can actually be heard crackling like rice krispies. I can hear them crackling every time I swallow or yawn and other people can hear it in a quite room. In addition, I had ringing in the ears started during the infection (3 months ago) and my ears are still ringing.They have never rang constantly before that. I also have slight balance problems and what I can only describe as a tightness or pressure in my face. This tightness mostly occurs around my jaw joint or cheek area and its not really noticeable while sitting only moving around and standing. My jaw clicks on the left side and sometimes it locks when I am talking but I do not think its TMJ personally because I was normal before my infection and didn't have any tightness there. My ENT looked in my ears, did a hearing test, tympanometry, and a nasal endoscopy. They did not see any inflammation or infection and my Eustachian tubes are not blocked. I don't have any sinusitis symptoms like post nasal drip or congestion. Now they want me to get an MRI. Any idea what this could be and if an MRI is the only way?

Recurrent respiratory infection with conjunctivitus(pink eye)?

Hey all,
So I am at a loss of what's going on with me. I work between 5 different special ed kindergarten classrooms, so the exposure to multiple viruses and infections is obviously high. That being said, in the past 3-4 months I have gotten what appears to be the same recurrent virus or infection with very sppecific symptoms.

I get a severe respiratory infection with sore throat, chest aches, high fever and chills, body aches and fatigue. I also get conjunctivitis in my eyes after about a day or so of having the infection.
I've been to the doctor multiple times and sometimes they think it's just a bad virus and sometimes they think it's bacterial. When they assume it's bacterial and I get antibiotics for both my throat/lungs and eye drops for conjunctivitis, it usually goes away for a couple of weeks. But then it comes back. This exact thing has happened 5 or 6 times in the last couple months and it's so frustrating.

What interesting this time is 2 days ago I had a bad stomach bug where I was throwing up and everything. Last night I was feeling better but started coughing, and then of course this morning I wake up prying my swollen eyes open, a fever, sore throat-same damn thing!

Any ideas what may be going on or what I should do? Thank you!

Hi! Long story short, I used to work on a cruise ship (hectic schedule) and one day I started feeling really sick. I felt achey in my lower back spine area and then my face got really itchy. It swelled up and I broke out in hives all over my body. I had a high fever. The doctors on board thought it was an allergic reaction. This went on for weeks. My contract ended and the hides subsided. I then had to get a biopsy on my cervix (not related), and when I got home I had severe cramping, I threw up, my scalp started burning, my hair started falling out, and once again I was covered in hives. I went to an allergist who took bloods and discovered my ANA was positive. I went to a rheumatologist who tried convincing me it was allergies but tested me for autoimmune disorders. Nothing came back positive. I basically gave up and just put up with the hives. I got a new job as flight crew which I'm able to get adequate rest with, but recently I worked two red eye flights in a row and started feeling ill. I got naseuous, went to bed, woke up with hives on my face and stomach, and my scalp burning and hair falling out. I was also so achey I felt like I had run a marathon. I'm so discouraged. I can't find anything online about this. The only thing I know for sure is it happens whenever my immune system is compromised and I'm exhausted. My next plan is to go see a Lyme literate doctor as I had Lyme as a child and think maybe it recurs when I'm sick. Any input would be appreciated. If its any help, I'm female and 24 years old.

Worried about hiv after unprotected sex

Hi smitler,jogen,apollo and all other friends who are really doing an awesome job of helping all feared souls you guys rock.

I had an insertive anal encounter on 4th march unprotected,after 2 days i developed itching and white discharge from my dick i couldnt see a doctor as i was travelling abroad.Then on 20th march i took citrobay for the urine infection and then took azithromyzin but the issue didnt resolve.The problem of GASTRO started around 20th march which is still not resolved as i write this lasting for about 2 months and more.

I went to doc on 20th april he gave me antibiotics for Urine infection which cleared out but my gastro issues didnt resolve and i have loose stool, LOST 5 Kgs and Suffering from Extreme Weakness. This has never happend before and i feel its due to the sexual encounter.

I was vv scared so told my doc to do an HIV test and Complete blood test which came back negative after 8 weeks exposure on 1st may.The report just read HIV negative and Hab negative i dont know the test type or generation of the test got the result after 2 hours blood drawn from vein.

Now I am worried and sleepless since my test was negative but i suffer from weakness that i cannot operate normally in life have still loose stools and lost 5kgs plus the gas problems dont seem to resolve i cant eat anything as it gives me gas and breathlessness the doctor says its just gastro but my fear is what if its due to hiv and the 8 weeks test somehow didnt pick it up plss help me understand does ARS symptoms include gastro and loose stools should i check again at 12 weeks

Anxiety, scared to death. HIV negative week 14

on 3rd March 2017 I had risky exposure which was few seconds of vaginal exposure with a csw also unprotected oral sex And then I put condom, after few weeks of exposure I had almost all the symptoms of HIV such as white tongue with red bumps at the back, fatigue, chill, burning sensation feet and palm, nausea and weight loss. Flat Foot Surgery

Hi everyone I recently had flat foot surgery on my left foot. The operation I had done on my foot was a left talar exostectomy to remove a pretty big bone spur from the top of my ankle. A left cotton and Evans osteotomy with bone graft was used to correct my flat foot. I am now 3 weeks post op. I play professionally basketball and my aniexty is starting to kick in about being able to play at a high level again. My surgeon told me I would be able to reason why I elected to have the surgery. He is a top podiatrist! Just the uncertainty is killing me. Has anyone had this type of surgery and returned to running, weighting and high impact sports? Please Help!

Good evening to start off I want to say thank for taking the time to read my post. I'm new to this but I don't want to take this journey alone. I have decided to start a weight loss trip starting tomorrow 6-10-2017. I have 3 young children and I need to be around for them. Hello,

I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism almost a 1.5 year ago.

I started with levothyroxine (euthyrox) and at the moment i take the dosage of 88mcg. Thankfully i dont feel anymore the awful symptoms that i had in the beginning (paraesthesia, muscle spasms, cold feeling in legs) BUT i think i can be better.

My exams are the following :

TSH = 2.04 (O.3 - 4.5)
FT3 = 2.39 (2.0 - 4.0)
FT4 = 1.18 (0.7 - 0.17)

I think i am low in FT3 but my doctor classicaly judging only by TSH says that i am fine. I still feel fatigue sometimes and have cold feeling in legs.

Should i move my dosage to 100mcg ?

Roughly 4 weeks ago I received unprotected oral sex. I had slight pain and took antibiotics this was all a week after also tested for gono and chlamydia all negative. I've had swollen lymph nodes for a few years and they started to ache again recently I went and got a rapid hiv and rapid syphilis test done. Hiv was negative and syphilis had a faint line. Chest rotated hospital says nothing is wrong

my left side of my chest is pushed up and in front of spine a few inches and my right side has pushed back. I don't have any muscle on the left side of my back, all my muscle is over on the right side of my spine. When I try and stand up I fall over. It is painful for to me to sit and lay down. Debilitating Glare

Hi there

For the last month or so I have been experiencing a big onset of glare around bright lights (eg LEDs, fluorescent lamps, sunlight reflections off cars, glass etc). I have Karatoconus and currently wear Scleral Lenses in both eye to help stabilize my vision.

I've had starbursts around street lamps etc at night for years, but this is a lot worse. Going for a drive on a sunny day is a nightmare, everything is reflecting the sun and causing massive glare which appears sort of glittery or shimmery.

The eye docs say there is nothing they can do. The lenses should be sufficient to eliminate the glare. So, I'm wondering if it could be neurological..

Should I make a doctor's appointment?

I have been suffering from a few symptoms that i believe are due to underactive thyroid. The main one is fatigue - it is starting to interfere with my daily life. In addition to that, the texture of my hair has become extremely brittle/dry and breaks a lot, my tongue is swollen and scalloped, and my face is puffy. I have NOT had any weight gain though.

I went to my regular doctor with this and she tested my TSH, T3 & T4. These are the results which she said are normal. I am considering making an appointment with an endocrinologist though because from what i have researched my numbers are borderline. Can someone please tell me, based on my results, whether or not it's worth making this appointment?

TSH = 2.43 (range 0.178-4.530)
T4 = 1.15 ng/dL (range 0.80-1.73)
T3 = 270 pg/dL (i think this is 2.70 pg/mL when converted) - unfortunately there was no range for this one

They are all within the ranges posted but to my understanding a TSH of >2 and a low T3/T4 are suspect. Thoughts?

IgE Count and Asthma/Allegies

For a few months now I’ve been having some breathing troubles and my Pulmonologist and I are “troubleshooting” to see whats going on.

I want to pick you alls brain. We did a blood test for allergens in my region, and I came back highly allergic to the common culprits; dogs,cats, trees, pollen, etc. Not really a new discovery since I new of these allergies since I was a child and I also completed a skin test about 10yrs ago.

What I’m curious about is that he believes I may be having some allergic reactions that are inducing asthma. I had asthma as a child so I think he is going down the Adult onset asthma route. In the blood test my Total IgE was within normal 76. So is it possible to have asthma like symptoms (they are pretty constant) and still have normal IgE counts.

Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and Acid Reflux?

I have been suffering with what I believe to be Eustachian tube dysfunction for a few months now. Nothing has officially been confirmed with any doctors as clinically speaking, I’m fine. Sigh. Symptoms include, fullness feeling in ears and constant need to “pop” them, mild sinus pain and pressure, headaches, fatigue and vertigo (or a feeling of “floating” or being “off”). Treatment has included 2 rounds of antibiotics, 3 rounds of 10 mg Prednisone (cortisone, which seems to greatly help my symptoms) and I recently went to have adult ventilation tubes put in my ears. Sadly, I still have symptoms. I’m so frustrated, as “learning to live” with these symptoms (as the doctors are so quick to tell me) is not an option for me. The vertigo is debilitating and brings my mild anxiety problems to a new level.

Recently, I have noticed I have been belching a lot. Gassy. Trouble clearing my throat… I feel like I have mucus stuck back there all the time. Post nasal drip feeling. Cough. Mild heartburn occasionally. Sometimes foods taste funny. I feel a slight improvement with all symptoms when I take an antacid.

And today I found a bunch of websites on LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux) or "silent reflux", which is a form of acid reflux that doesn't have the heartburn type symptoms that are typically associated with GERD. I am wondering if the Eustachian tube dysfunction is being CAUSED by acid reflux? I never even thought the two could be related until now. Some information on the internet is saying that acid from the stomach could "back up" into the sinuses and Eustachian tubes and even into the middle ear, causing acidic fluids to cause problems up there. It makes perfect sense to me but I'm still unsure if my problems are related.

Has anyone else had any ear/sinus symptoms with stomach acid problems? If so, what has been your experience or solution? I’m desperate to fix this as I am 45 years old, very active and miss my life. At lunch, I’m going to go to the store and get some Nexium for a few weeks and see if that improves anything.

Continuing Achy Pain, Two Years Post-Surgery

Get daily achy pain in left shoulder. Had fully torn tendon and RC surgery in March 2015. Got an MRI on it early last year that showed a very small tear and some osteoarthritis. Have been taking 800mg ibuprofen once, sometimes twice daily. In AM, I take a Collagen II tablet, which makes pain disappear for 4-5 hours. Had RC surgery in right shoulder in March 2007, but very little problems with that shoulder, except for a little arthritis pain at times. BTW, have 100% ROM in both shoulders.

Was giving it serious thought about getting a Cortisone shot in the left shoulder. Was offered this before considering surgery, but declined. Had a Cortisone shot in hip in 2005, but still required hip replacement surgery.

Am really wondering if the shot would help me with the achy pain I get in the shoulder? I'm about to turn 68 and know how common arthritis is at this age.

Hi there, I'm slightly concerned about some blood pressure readings I've been getting and wondering if it's something I should bring up with my doctor.

My blood pressure has always been in the normal to ideal range every time I've had it checked, but lately (the past week or two) that I've been checking it, the diastolic has been very low. Most recent reading was 104/34. That's the lowest I've seen it, but the other recent readings have been similar.

So is this something to be worried about? Only thing I can think of that may be affecting it is a peptic ulcer that was recently discovered and I have now started treatment for a couple days ago.

I would seriously appreciate any word on this, as my doctor is difficult to get in with and I have very little time outside of work.

Combo T4 T3 results advice please

Hi Everyone I'm a Newby on her today I've been on combo T4 T3 since last October started of on 75 Levo and 10mcg T3. Again in February this year my Endo up my. Meds to 50 levo 20mcg T3. So these were my result in Start of May TSH 0.01mu/L (0.3-5) Free T4 9.5 pmol/L. (8.4-19.1) free T3 6.7 pmo/L (3.8-6.0) as you can see I'm over medicated I did have some symptoms but not hyper just hot sweaty low n fatigued my endo has now told me to take 75mcg Levo with 10mcg to 15.mcg T3. For 2 weeks I took nothing due to being away and had no Meds with me felt a lot better.I have started taking 75 Levo 10mcg again I'm just wondering why in my last results T4 was so low I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable can understand these last results. Cramping pain after bowel surgery

In may of 2016 I was told I had stage 3 bowel cancer, had my operation to remove the tumour in October and two weeks ago another operation to reverse my Ilestomy so now I don't have a colostomy bag anymore. While this is great in the last few days I have had really painful cramps day and night, enough to wake me. Nobody told
me or warned me about the possibility of this happening and has caught me off guard - doesn't seem to matter what I have eaten, just seems to be constantly happening, painful cramping.

RSD from a blood draw?

Please, did anyone develop RSD/CRPS from a blood draw? I already have excitable nerves but it hasn't been bad at all for months. When the nurse was drawing my blood it burned and itched badly in the crook of the arm where she was drawing the blood. She used a butterfly needle and had to "dig" a little to find my vein and it took several minutes. When I told her it was burning and itching she thought maybe some alcohol got in the skin but didn't remove the needle. She used a butterfly needle and took four viles of blood so it was like this for several minutes. It's been over a week now and the burning feeling is still there over entire arm from crook of elbow to hand to shoulder, my elbow is sensitive like a funny bone feeling, and there is pain and burning at the site still. There is no visible bleeding or bruising or lumps. I'm very scared this will be permanent. :( Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Late Pill - freaking out

I had unprotected sex about 5 days ago while I was on my period, which ended that afternoon/next morning. This morning I realised I missed last nights pill (the 4th day after I had unprotected sex). Hi I am 15 years of age and am currently 12 weeks exactly from my craniotomy operation I underwent. I had a cold and developed really bad sinusitis and had a seizure. I was brought to a&e by ambulance and had an operation to drain my sinuses. Then on an mri scan it showed I had a brain abscess the size of a tennis ball. I had an operation to drain the abscess but it came back. I then underwent a craniotomy and now it feels as if I never had one (apart from the big bald strip on the side of my head). during the operation they put the bone flap of my skull back together with titanium staples and I want to know what would happen if there was an impact on my head maybe even directly where the bone flap is. For example I play soccer and if I headered a hard ball or if someone punched me really hard where the bone flap is would something happen? Would my skull cave in? 3 Months of Dysphagia, looking for opinions

About me: 27, Male, no history of GERD or reflux until recently. I've been experiencing dysphagia for about 3 months. It started out feeling like a slight hesitation while eating, and it's not to the point where I can't swallow solids and struggle with thick liquids (no pain). It almost feels like I've forgotten how to swallow.

I'm a relatively fit person, recently a 'former smoker', and down about 16lbs since this all started.

Some symptoms that may or may not be related that all started around the same time: fatigue (sleeping 10-12 hours a night), one ear has been randomly clogging up as if there's fluid but no pain, and when I do try to drink/eat my mouth produces a thick string-like saliva.

I've had an upper endoscopy done recently, and was diagnosed with 'chronic mild esophagitis'. The GI recommended I take OTC omeprazole, and scheduled a follow-up in four weeks. It's been about 2 weeks, and there's been no change in my ability to swallow.

I'm starting to worry that the dysphagia and esophagitis are unrelated. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm starting to feel worried/desperate.

I am writing this just in case some others might be suffering as I did.

In 2004 I was diagnosed with diabetes and put on Metformin. I started having bad, urgent, explosive diarrhea numerous times a day. Telling my primary care physician she sent me to a gastric doctor who performed a colonscopy and gave me a diagnosis of IBS and because I had previously had my gall bladder removed diagnosed bile salt diarrhea. I was prescribed Colestipol which did not help my troubles. To make a long story short, after 14 years of suffering and pretty much becoming home bound due to having to live in the bathroom because of the diarrhea, my new primary care doctor took me off the Metformin and put me on Junuvia. I never thought I'd live to say I enjoy being constipated but I do. Benefiber helps with that problem. It wasn't foods I was or was not eating, it was the Metformin. I also had to take Omeprazole because of the bad acid reflux and I no longer have to take it. So if you have been diagnosed with IBS or bile salt diarrhea, dig a little deeper if you are on medicines that might be the real culprit. So glad I did

Lasting effects of a severe migraine attack?

I’ve had migraines for the past 22 years, since I was 16. I’m on propranolol which has helped a lot and i normally only get one per year. However, in early may I had 4 in 4 days….2 of which were my worst ever. Since those 4 days I have experienced random times of tingling in my left hand and foot along. The same feeling as during a migraine, though maybe not as severe. My eyes are sensitive to light as well and I occasionally get a slight headache to go along with the numbness.

Has anyone experienced lingering affects after such severe attacks like this? Or does this sound like symptoms of something else?

High Blood Pressure

Hi, I would like to talk to anyone dealing with high blood pressure through menopause. My pressure is so high and my doctor does not want to prescribe any medication for me. He says that it's pure anxiety and stress related and that when he had the 24 hour cuff on me it was normal during sleep. I have health anxiety and do not handle doctor visits very well. I've been checking at the drug store but it's still very high as I get extremely anxious when I see that machine. I took a few different readings and the lowest I got in three days was 159/109. I'm terrified it has effected my heart in some way, I have a heart ultrasound coming up at end of the month.

Sluggish Legs

Hello all, I'm new the boards and looking for help.

I've always been fat. I gained 80 lbs the year I turned 12. Docs chalked it up to hormones and genetics. Turned out it was thyroid cancer that wasn't caught until I was 23. Slow growing. No worries that was 16 years ago.

My meds are under control for the first time. 2 years ago I was about to lose about 40 lbs just walking. The I had some issues that required surgery.

Now Im exercising again. I walk almost every morning ..unless I want to give up more sleep I have to stick to a mile time wise. Then I come home and do Richard Simmon's project hope. I'm on the first disk.

Here's my question: When I walk for exercise, my legs hurt and are so sluggish its like working through Jello. I thought I needed to warm up better, so I actually switched and did the cardio first---same results even though I should have been plenty warm. If I push, the 2nd mile is sometimes better, sometimes its the 3rd, and sometimes it just doesnt.

Sitting for a few minutes helps, which I dont get. Does anyone have a clue what might be going on?

Chronic headache but negative test results?

Hi,
I used to suffer with migraines quite badly. I'd get a few week and they would be completely debilitating. After a few visits to the GP, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and given sertraline as he thought the migraines were due to stress. I was doubtful, but it significantly reduced the amount of migraines I would get - down to 1 or 2 a month.
However, in march 2017 I developed a persistent headache. Some days it would be mild (around 2 or 3/10 pain score). Other days it would wake me up and would be severe enough that I'd have to miss work. This persistent headache didn't respond to any of my usual treatments and pain-killers didn't help in any way. I also started experiencing other symptoms - extreme exhaustion, nausea, loss of appetite, pain and swelling in the back of my neck, general body aches and a low fever.Again, I visited my GP a few times and had various diagnosis threw around , including: the common cold, a viral infection, pharyngitis, a throat infection, the flu, my depression causing it etc.
On Saturday 3rd June I woke up in agony. The pain was the worst it had ever been, a good 9/10. I also had photophobia and phonophobia. I spend the entire day in bed, curtains and blinds closed, sunglasses on and a blanket over my head hoping it would go away. It didn't. The painkillers didn't do a slight bit of difference either. I couldn't get an appointment with my GP for two weeks, so rang the NHS 111 service to see if I could get stronger painkillers.They were very concerned with my symptoms and sent an ambulance. I tried to refuse, stressing that it was a waste of resources, but 4 hours later I was being taken to A&E.
To try and make this long story shorter, I had a plethora of pain meds to try and stop the pain. Morphine, tramadol, codine etc. Nothing worked. I spent 4 days in hospital, had blood tests, urine tests, a CT scan and a lumbar puncture, which all came back normal. As they couldn't find anything wrong, I was discharged this morning and given a mixture of Tramadol, codeine and naproxen to reduce the pain.
I'm being referred to a neurologist to get an MRI because they noticed an abnormality on my CT which could be an arachnoid cyst. However, every medical professional I've seen has stressed that it's impossible for this to be the cause of the headaches.

I don't know where to post this, but the Lord has been laying it on my heart for the past few days to tell people about Jesus. This burden is so strong that I have felt sick and very desperate to reach out to others and tell them about Jesus. I asked my Pastor if there were any ministries I could do through my church to serve God, but all he said to me was that if there was anything, he'd let me know. God has been driving me to serve Him so bad that I don't think I can wait much longer for an answer from my Pastor, I am desperate here and I don't think he understands just how urgent it is to witness to the lost. People are dying and going to Hell. That is no laughing matter.

So I am going to write a post and witness to the lost on here...

Dear person much loved by the Lord,

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me. Have you ever thought about what happens after you die? I have. It has brought me much anxiety thinking about it, because I know that this life does not last forever and one day, we all will die.

A lot of people today do not think about where they will spend eternity, and this thinking is a big mistake.

But what happens after death? The Bible is the only book that can tell us what happens to us after we die. God Himself wrote this great book; it is probably the most important book that was ever written.

Do you mind if I quote some Scriptures? Some people get offended when I quote the Bible, but I never do. Do you know why? Because I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Saviour. The Bible says so. And with that being said, I will give you some Bible verses to help you and educate you.

So what happens after we die? The Bible teaches that man is a tripart being composed of spirit, soul, and a fleshly body. At death, our souls separate from our body and goes back to God to be judged by Him. God will judge everything we do in the body, whether good or bad.

But here is the bad news. You see, nobody is truly a good person. You see, only God is truly good.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever hated anyone? If you have, then you have sinned. Killing others is also a sin, and yet you hear every day on the news that someone has murdered somebody else. Why? Because mankind are sinners and on their way to a burning Hell.

Rom 3:23 :
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Now that you know that no one is good in God's eyes, how do we then become good? How do we become vindicated before God? The Bible teaches that we need to have Jesus' righteousness but the only way to do that is to come to Him by faith:

Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So you see that you need to believe in your heart that God raised up Jesus from the dead, and you also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

If you die without Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell. In our modern world today, people think that Hell is a place of never-ending parties and good times. They think that all of their friends will be there. But that is far from the truth. You would think that these people have never read the Bible, or that they have never taken it seriously.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a place of never-ending fire and torment, and my dear friend, that is not very much fun (this truth has scared a lot of people). It is a place of tears and no hope. It is darkness and loneliness. You won't be able to see anyone at all. It is eternal separation from God Himself. Since God is the Source of Joy and Happiness, that means that everything apart from Him is tears, sorrow, and no happiness. And that does not sound like very much fun at all, doesn't it?

So my dear friend, for your own eternal safety, I pray that you will accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, and make Him Lord over your life.

If you have done this, you need to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in God's Word. And you also need to find out what God wants you to do with your life, so that you may serve Him.

Hi,

Im 30 years old male.
In December I had a bad flu and angina. The doctor gave me some antibiotics.
I took them for 7 days and the angina stoped.
But since then, 2 days after I stopped the antibiotics, the back of my nose (on the nasopharyngeal area) started itching with a permanent post nasal drip.
It has been 6 months now and I still have the same symptoms, along with a sensation of feeling bad.
I went to 2 different doctors. They said its allergies or sinusitis and gave me a spray to clean my nose.
It didn't work and the symptoms keep staying.
I read in some books that it could be a mucous infection due to antibiotics using. So I decided to use a natural antifungal spray named propolise. I started using it yesterday. It made it a little better. But today I used it again and since then I feel bad. My face is like anesthetized, and my nasopharyngeal zone is hurting.

Infant Itchy Skin Rash On Underside of both thighs

OK so 3 weeks ago I noticed raised bumps on my sons (18 months) underside of both his thighs. They resemble heat rash and could also be atopic dermatitis. The thing is I've treated this rash both ways and it hasn't gotten any better. I have switched laundry to a free and clear detergent. Started giving him baths every day with sensitive soaps. I have been putting aveeno eczema cream/goldsbond/coconut oil everyday. At night is when he itches it the most so I will put some Hydrochordizone cream on it. It hasn't gone away. I even bought chemical free diapers. No improvement. I make sure he wears breathable cotton clothing. Hes seen 2 different pediatric doctors. The first glanced at it and said it was eczema. The 2nd doctor did the same. He has some seasonal allergies due to pollen so he will sometimes get a runny nose. I thought maybe it had to do with that but I'm doubting it. Maybe I thought it was a food allergy but I don't even know where to begin with that. He doesn't have any other symptoms to go with it and it is not spreading anywhere else. I wish I could post a picture but can't. It does resemble some what of a heat rash. Everyone I ask and show it too has said its a heat rash. Well its been there for 3 weeks and hasn't improved. We have an ac in our room and a fan where he sleeps. I don't think it gets even remotely hot in there for him to be sweating. Fibromyalgia Symptoms with suspicious thyroid panel

So it's been a year since I started my search to answers for my condition... my some of my symptoms are:
- fatigue
- easily gain weight
- mood swings
- concentration issues
- extreme muscle pain ( from waist down) including neuropathy like symptoms, burning, tingling...
- numb feet
- extreme to cold

My mother, for the record, has hashimoto. Early this year I went to get blood work done to check for hashimoto to see if my fibromyalgia like symptoms were not hypothyroidism or hashimoto itself.
my results were:
- Thyroglobulin Antibody : <1.0 IU/mL
- Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab: 18 IU/mL
- T3, free, serum: 2.2 pg/mL
- PTH, intact: 16 pg/ml
- Cortisol, AM: 25.7 ug/dL
- TSH: 1.310 uIU/mL
-T4, free, Direct, S: 1.04 ng/dL
- Calcium, Ionized, serum: 5.3 mg/dL

My endocrinologist said I was COMPLETELY fine... although I have to say that the T3, TSH, and T4 in those labs are on the lower end of the range showed on the paper, and what I have learned ( in the internet...) is that OPTIMAL range is far from what these papers usually show, when comparing my results to what optimal ranges would be, I would actually have hypothyroidism. My calcium was also to the higher side and he blamed my slightly high vitamin d.. although I told him vitamind D ( I was taking 4,000 IU a day) was the only thing that was making me feel better.. he told me to stop.
Since then, my symptoms have multiplied by 1000x... I feel so desperate, my body pains are insane, I can't even walk my dogs anymore. I have gone to a neurologist, did a 2hr glucose test, CPK, and aldolase to rule out any muscle problem and everything was fine. By the way I'm a bodybuilder and far from inactive ( or at least used to be.. ) now I can barely walk to the gym due to pains.
I'm also now pretty much suffering from depression, which to be honest I'm not sure if it's due to the fact that I'm extremely frustrated with my situation or if it is because I actually am with hypothyroidism. I also had done an ultra sound of my thyroid and he said I had a very small node on one side that was too small to be considered an issue..

Hoping someone can give me some advice here to what could actually be going on. I've gone to so many doctors so far that is difficult to talk about everything in here. But I'm starting to not trust my doctors when telling me my numbers are fine when they are to the extreme lower side and considering that since them I have drastically gotten worse.

Postnasal drip and fever for over a month

Hi all, I'm panicking. I had a weird virus that started about a month ago. I had a horrible sore throat (worst in my life), a fever and a general feeling of achiness. It got a lot better, but I've had a lingering fever of around 99.4 for over a month now. Today it started going up again and my throat hurts. Ive been having post nasal drip as well. I went to the doctor and he said it could just be the start of some seasonal allergies, which an oftentimes piggyback off a viral infection. I just don't know. I have a history of panicking over HIV and I'm worried I've been infected. I work in an HIV lab which makes matters worse. I dont work with live virus, but it's in the room next to me. The most dangerous thing I work with is proviral DNA. Ive been tested twice for HIV over the last month, but nothing. Should I be really worried about this? Is it normal to have a virus that lasts this long, or does this seem consistent with allergies. For years now I have been having pain on the clitoris. I have gone to several drs. and so far it is a mystery. Nobody can figure it out. after ankle Surgery...what now?

just curious on what kind of weird feelings anyone has had after ankle surgery? I broke my fibula and the point off the inner bone, (cannot remember the name)...its been almost 6 weeks post op, cast off last Friday ...now in boot NWB well actually 25% I'm not sure how to even do that...he said let pain be the guide... I'm having lots of weird pains and tingling... I hate the boot... don't wear it unless I'm up... it mashes on the incisions and starts tingling more and up to my toes, so I wrapped in an ACE bandage while in it, now my toes are cold but... i can get my fingers under it... IDK I'm just irritated and need support and knowing I'm not crazy...this is one of the hardest things I've ever coped with.

Are cigarettes causing my anxiety?

I had smoked for 3 1/2 years, and was never anxious because of it. I quit when I started new medication a few months ago, and started back again 2 weeks ago. (Bad, I know, but I was in France for a week and a half. Everyone smokes everywhere there I think it was inevitable for me.)

When I had started smoking again in France, my anxiety has been awful ever since even though before during my med change i had little to no problems with anxiety.

Is smoking cigarettes causing my anxiety? I do want to quit eventually, but if it's causing me this much anxiety I will definitely quit a lot sooner because even though I'm not mentally anxious, I am having awful physical anxiety symptoms. Thank goodness I have not had a panic attack yet.

Lithium and metabolism?

Hi,

I am schizoaffective. When I was initially on lithium, I think I took 600mg a day? and I can't remember if it was just at night or twice a day. Anyway, I gained 30 lbs in a little over a month. So, my doc lowered the dose to 300mg (untherauputic) so I could stop gaining weight. I am a 6' woman who originally weighed 140 and went up to 170. While the weight gain stopped, I couldn't lose the extra weight. After 2 years I got put on Geodon with just the lithium, and I lost so much weight and now I weigh 128 (not good I am trying to gain a little weight). However, the Geodon caused me to have panic attacks everyday so I was taken off of the lithium and put on lamictal, but then my psychotic episodes came back. I refuse to be put on another antipsychotic because I don't want to balloon. So, I just got put back on lithium, 150x2 a day when previously I took 300mg at night. I am on this lithium with 80mg of Geodon, and 100mgx2 a day of Lamictal. When I was originally on the low dose of lithium with geode I did not get a single craving or hunger pains. Two days ago I started the lithium again and now I am having severe hunger pains throughout the day that keep me up at night despite eating enough during the day. I'm just ignoring them because I don't want to gain too much weight. And I am aware that I will gain water weight.

Anyway, my biggest concern with the new addition of Lithium is incredible weight gain. I am hoping the hunger pains will go away when I've been on the Lithium for longer, but I am also worried about my metabolism. My doc said lithium doesn't cause that (I don't believe him half the time he doesn't believe my symptoms.) Will this slow down my metabolism? It didn't before, but since I am on it with Lamictal I am having different side effects. I do want to keep on the lithium though because the Geodon-Lithium combo significantly decreased the amount of psychotic episodes I was having. (I was actually able to drive my car!)

My Mama had a hemorrhagic stroke and I'm so scared :(

On May 28th my Mama had a hemorrhagic stroke, and had a blood clot the size of a tennis ball removed from the left side of her brain. She told the doctors that the year was 1920.She basically knew nothing. Before her surgery she knew me. The hospital kept her sedated for about 4 days after surgery. When she woke up she knew me. She also knows her own name now. One day she knew my oldest Daughter, the next day she didn't. On June 3rd (my Brothers Birthday) she was actually able to eat (scrambled eggs and milk). On June 4th she was moved to rehabilitation. That night she fed herself her own supper. That night she had a severe attack of pain, holding her head in both hands, kicking her feet, banging her head on the bed and screaming OH to the top of her lungs. Nurse came in an tried to give her 2 Tylenol. My Step Father totally went off. Needless to say, several hours later she was brought 2 Percocet. The next morning when the doctor came in, he crawled these nurses and gave a standing order for stronger medication when my Mama needed it. He also had her moved to a different floor with better nurses who are way more caring!!

On June 5th my Mama sang the first verse of one of her favorite songs and didn't miss one word. We were all ecstatic!! Yesterday we went to visit her. She "acted" as if she knew me, but I can't be sure. She kissed me several times and smiled. She was fascinated about a silver teddy bear necklace I was wearing and she wouldn't stop playing with it. I had my Grandson take it off of me and I handed it to her. She held it and just stared at it, then the chain fell and she jumped with a look of terror on her face. We hooked my necklace to her hospital bed so she can look at it. Next she was fascinated with my keys which were hooked on the loop of my jeans, and she reached for them. Naturally I gave them to her. On my key ring is a strap my Daughter made me, trimmed in bright lime green with black/white zebra print in the center. She held my keys the whole time I was there just staring at them (I'm thinking because they were shiny and bright). She smelled of them, and also put them next to her face.When we left I took off the lime green zebra strap and gave it to her.

Sometimes she just looks at the wall or the ceiling and just smiles so big, or lets out a small laugh. Yesterday, my Grandson who is 12 seemed to be her main focus as far as family in the room. She constantly smiled at him!! My Daughter and I feel like she is in a child like state right now, and seems to relate to him. I want to go buy her this doll called a "Dressy Bessy", because this doll is bright colored, has a zipper, a button and strings to tie (to teach small children to do these things). Could this also help my Mama with her rehabilitation?? I've also told my family the entire time when she's awake that she can hear us. Do you think she can?? When she knows us she can say our names, but mostly she just rambles (Bless her). By the way, she's 71 I forgot to mention this. I didn't ask a lot of questions in my post, but would appreciate SO much any comments that could help. I feel like I'm losing my best friend. Since the time of her stroke 10 days ago I can no longer function, concentrate and can only cry. PLEASE if you have anything to help me or to help me help her...comment back. Hi, I'm looking for a little insight.



So I was working in a retail store and required to wear heels, my feet would hurt to an extreme point, as well as my knees and back.

I stopped wearing the heels.

However, on the back of my knees, my vein started showing slightly.

Fast forward a year, my veins are now beginning to show all over my legs. As well as the vein around my knee raising off the skin a bit, looking a bit twisted.

There are veins showing on my hips, and that area starts to burn during the day.


I'm on my feet 8 hours a day 5-6 times a week. I go to the gym 5-6 times a week.



My diet consists mainly of chicken, beans, carrots, broccoli.

However previously I was eating out a lot this past year due to no kitchen. More processed foods.


I have a coffee every morning.



I also came to California with 300 dollars and put myself through immensely stressful situations.

I suffer from extreme anxiety.


There is now currently veins starting to become visible along my torso, arms, and my neck as well as on my chin.


I don't know if me losing weight and eating kind of lean has something to do with it???



I do have fair skin. However, I have been far thinner than I am right now and never had veins showing at all.


I'm really worried about it, I don't have health insurance.


I feel like the skin on all of my body just looks kind of blue.

I started going to the chiropractor because my upper back has been hurting a lot.

There's also a vertebrae in my neck that is completely misaligned off to the side.

I feel so alone at this time in my life. I started itching on the star of my cycle and I thought maybe I was yeast. After my cycle went off, I went to the gyno and that is where I found out that I had BV. My labs did not come back yet for a definite answer, but the my gyno did a swab and told me by the look of my discharge it looks like BV. I had unprotected sex pullout no sperm at all 3 weeks before my period started which has me thinking that I got it from the guy I slept with. I am so mad angry and hurt. Afraid for my health

Hello, I recently got out of a relationship with my EX fiance. Before we started having unprotected sex he was tested for only the common STIs. There was also a rumor that he was having sex with an HIV positive woman before I met him. He told that was a lie and the lady was not HIV positive. He also told me he used a needle once experimenting with drugs and that he was OK. Once I heard that information I went to get a test and it was negative. This was last year in April. We split but got back together and became engaged after that situation. From the time we were together we had sex and he would always do pullout. he only came in me 2 times. The last time we had intercourse was in February. During the relationship, me and him never got sick with anything. We were healthy. He did have a stomach bug that went away with antibiotics and I ended getting cystitis during the relationship but that's about it.
Our relationship ended 2 months ago and I ended meeting a guy in a relationship with another woman. We stupidly had sex without a condom and he did not ejaculate in me. He told me prior to having sex that he has no STD or STI. I asked about his HIV status and he says he has gave blood a month ago and that if had anything they would have contacted him.
I was feeling fine after the exposure until I started cycle and started to itch. I went to my gyno and she told me I have Bacterial Vaginosis. I am so floored because I believe I got it from him. I am on antibiotics and it's clearing up.

What are the chances I may HIV positive. I never had anything going wrong with my vagina until now. How accurate would an oraquick home test be at this point?
Everywhere I go I am seeing things about Std and HIV. I am very scared to test.

4 months post op; PT over

I am 4 months post op and I'm not getting any more PT. I am on Affordable Care Act insurance and got to the end of my approved visits. My PT gave me a letter to take to my 4-month follow up appointment with my surgeon yesterday. The letter said my ROM was within normal limits (except for behind my back). The letter mentioned that I have pain as I add back activities and I certainly do. I have been recommended for a home exercise program. I have no idea how long I'm supposed to continue with these home exercises - MB forever. At the doctor's office they told me I can't lift my grandson for another 2 months and to continue with strength training. I can't help but wonder if more PT would be good to continue to build up strength.

How long has anyone else's PT lasted? I definitely still have pain with a lot of activities; they told me it was normal and should dissipate over time. The PT kept telling me I was doing so very well, so I guess I am. It's a little hard for me to tell because before the surgery I had no problems with ROM (doc said other muscles/tendons were taking over) and the pain was not horribly severe. I had the surgery because the MRI showed tear with 2.4 cm retraction and my doc said if I didn't get it fixed it might become unfixable.

Bupropion + chronic pain

Hello everyone, I've rushed here to post to some people who might have similar experiences.
So, I have chronic pain in my left arm, ever since my stroke three years ago. Not taking any other meds currently apart from some NSAID's from time to time. Pain is manageable enough to make it through the day without opiates.

I've been trying to quit smoking for the past year and I've started taking Zyban (Bupropion) (too weak to do it cold turkey).

After four days, my arm started tingling weird in addition to the pain. I've never felt anything like it.

My next doctor's appointment is in about 2 weeks from now, but I got my hopes up.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

I really want to get well and I feel like there is hope.

I should have called my father more..

My father died almost two weeks ago and well I was looking through my call log and now I feel terrible. I think he's mad at me for not always calling back or taking forever to do so. I admit sometimes I just didn't wanna talk on the phone because I don't like talking on the phone in general. Other times I just didn't want to talk to him, nothing against him. But I'm an adult so I don't feel the need to have to constantly talk to my parents and well that was my mentality. All my father's voicemails he left are gone cause I deleted them every few days. Would be the standard message like "Hi Amy this is dad, give me a call when you get the chance. Okay I love you honey I'll talk to you later, bye bye" something like that. Since they're all deleted I can't listen to his voice anymore. It kills me that my father is gone and I should have called him more and I think he's mad at me for it. He was cool about it, he understood I had my own life. Well that's what he'd tell me.

Last time I talked to him was 4 days before he died and it was a short conversation.

Prednisone

I feel like I need something more than plaquenil to treat my lupus,. I've been in a flare for 2 weeks and it's getting harder and harder to push through the pain . I'm self employed and also pick up and run around 2 grandkids from their respective schools . So what do you guys do ? I'm taking way too much Advil these days. I hate the side affects of prednisone but may have to go there . Is anyone on continuous use of prednisone and I wonder what the lowest dose I can take would be.?

High cytomel dosage anyone?

Dear all,
I've done an extensive search and found no one like me. I'm 43. Female. Diagnosed hypothyroid at 40. Before then - I always felt fine and had no issue keeping weight off (I'm in fitness industry) then suddenly - unsure if related to a surgery I had (breast implants - silicone - since removed but perhaps linked to thyroid issues) I became very sluggish - hypo, and was put on Armour. I was taking up to 6 grains of armor a day- but still hypo, and was allergic to the filler - switched to generic synthoid, then brand synthroid, then nature throid, all gave me horrible rashes. Then finally for past 6 months I was switched to Cytomel. I started on 50 mg, went up to 75 - felt fine for 4 months - then just had a thyrodex test (was feeling sluggish again) - And I am hypo AGAIN. So now on 100mg cytomel and 25 mg brand synthroid. That's not a typo! 100mg cytomel. A day! And still Hypo according to thyroodex test (and symptoms). Bloodwork has me in normal ranges.

Here's the thing - I trust and love my doctor - and I feel FANTASTIC for the first time in YEARS. I have energy again - feel fit and happy, my hair is nice and thick, I'm finally sleeping again. NO palpitations - NO sign of hyperthyroid. I feel 100% great.

However - I am a little freaked out because my dose seems to be 10 times higher than anyone else. On 50mg I felt indescribably bad. It wasn't enough. I have struggled with doctors wanting to give me antidepressants before meeting my current doctor, and I am so thankful for him. I was never depressed, I was just in a massive fog and felt like I couldn't move. But I'm neither sad anxious or anything. I have an amazing husband and amazing kids. So I trust my doctor - I just worry. Does anyone have experience with doses of cytomel this high?

Flactuating eGFR

Hi,

I'm a 53 year old male.

About a year and a half ago I went thru a routine check up and my eGFR was normal at 88.
Then early May of this year I did another yearly test and my eGFR went down to 51 !!! which indicates a stage 3a of CKD - all other results were fine.

I was very worried but my GP told me to retest again in a months time, needless to say I spent the month reading stuff about kidney disorders and came to this forum, I read the recommendation from "Cora" to drink plenty of water before the test and so I did... spent the last 48 hours drinking no heavy meal, no meat.

Today I did the test and it bounced back to 84 !!!

How can this be possible? could the dehydration factor contribute that much?

Yellow and green stools

My Dr says I have irritable bowel. I'm not convinced. No constipation. I'm going to the bathroom maybe once more a day than normal and my stools are not brown. They are bulky... not really diarrhea.... thru come out formed but soft but when I flush turn into a big cloud. They are either yellow or algae green..... seem to go back and forth. Stool tests are negative for everything. I had colonoscopy four years ago. Just had endoscopy and diagnosed with gastritis and GERD. These stools started in the midst of a massive GERD flare. This has been going on for five weeks. Had CT of abdomen and pelvis which was clear. I'm going to ask for a HIDA scan of my gallbladder. Just wondering if any of you have yellow and green stools.
