I am exactly 7 days post op. I had 2 internal(closed hemorroidectomy) and 1 external that was litigated by HET. My recovery was a breeze compared to the hell i went through the week before my surgery. I had my first bm 3 days post op, it was uncomfortable but not painful, until my body involuntarily pushed out a stool..i felt like something ripped. I noticed what looked/felt like a hem back there. I soaked in the tub and it went down, but i still had the external hem feeling. I found the perfect way to squat and my bm have been much more easier and quicker. But i still feel/see that dang hem looking thing. its very small, and after i soak, it virtually goes away. but after every bm i feel it there. Has anyone every had a hem form during recovery, or felt like there was one? Other than that, my experience has been positive. Even if it does turn out to be a hem, i am still 100x better off than i was pre surgery. On monday i told my doc about my concern, he seemed confident that he got it them all but said i can come in if im worried. I am pain free and my bm are fine, i am back to most of my normal activities and no longer taking pain meds.. so I decided to wait for my follow up.. .I go back to see my doc on aug 12 so i guess im just looking for a little assurance or info until then.
