I recently had a CT lung screening, as recommended by my MD, because I smoke. The findings were a bit alarming, but, also, somewhat vague, at least to me. "Irregular nodule areas of the right apex, which appear to be associated with scarring, measuring up to 1.8 cm, and 1.5 cm". There is no mention of density, color, smoothness or roughness, etc. And I can't tell if he means nodules with scarring or just scarring. My MD did feel it was a bit "nebulous." With that said, the radiologist did suggest a follow-up PET/CT scan, which I've scheduled, and I, also, requested a referral to a pulmonologist, regardless of the outcome. Has anyone had a similar finding? This is nerve-wracking!!!
Thanks
