I'm finding myself becoming more and more bored with my breakfast and lunch, which probably aren't the most conducive to weight loss anyway. I'm looking for some reasonable ideas that I can feel excited about eating. Full disclosure:
Currently, I eat cereals with low-fat milk for breakfast. I don't drink the milk afterwards as I'm a little lactose intolerant. Too much and I get a crampy tummy. I'm usually hungry by 10am. I eat a sandwich and a granola bar for lunch. If I'm at work I'm hungry by the time I get home.
Am I asking for the impossible? Do filling, nutritious and easy/quick to prepare breakfasts and lunches exist? Google searches lead me to unnecessarily fancy and fussy options, so I'm hoping those with more experience and creativity than me can help!
- I struggle to eat healthy because I don't like the taste/texture of a lot of healthier options. Suggestions like kale and quinoa salad won't work for me. I'm looking for baby steps here so that I won't make a bad/lazy decision and stop eating healthily, which is what has happened in the past.
- I've also struggled since moving to the USA as I find almost everything has so much sugar in it, and anything that doesn't comes at a much higher price.
- I'm up at 5.50am and out of the door at 6.20 so I'm not about to stand around cooking anything. Cereal works because it's quick and easy. Sandwich and a granola bar works because it's a quick prep the night before. That's why I've always stuck with them.
