Hi everyone. I normally avoid online health stuff because it triggers massive anxiety, but I cannot shake this. Maybe you can ease my mind?
I'm 38 years old, mother of two, married. My periods are pretty regular, been tracking on an app for about four months just because I always seem to forget when I'm about to start. lol Anyway, my normal cycle is 28-29 days, normally spot for a couple of days, then stop, then start again full force for about 3-5 days then it's over. It's never been scary heavy, no massive clotting, no strange discharge, no chance for pregnancy or on BC either. Just regular.
This month, it started like clockwork... July 21, 22 were spotty days, then it went directly to regular flow. And it kept going....and going....7 days later I was wondering when this would end, Friday it stopped. I thought. Sunday (yesterday) I saw pink in my toilet paper, and felt super hormonal, back cramps, frisky, and I've continued to spot on toilet paper all today (nothing on pad, just TP). I'm super worried. I cannot tell if it's just continuation of my period or spotting in between which is super scary to me.
I made an appointment with my doc tomorrow morning morning. I am very, very scared of gyno appointments for the record. Not sure if this might help but I recently found out I am Type 2 diabetic and immediately went low carb, lost almost 40 pounds, so perhaps that is part of it? My labs have been good. Also been under extreme stress this month since my son with autism has also been diagnosed with Type 1 (July 5) and it's been very stressful over here. We just got back from being out of town, as well. *breathes*
I'm terrified it's cancer or something horrible and I honestly cannot take any more bad news. Can anyone ease my mind before I head to the appointment tomorrow?
