I'm a 67 year old. Menopause was 17 years ago.
In Dec. 2015 I fainted and in Jan. 2016 my Pain Management Doctor had me go to get an abdominal X-ray to make sure everything was okay.
Now it's August and I went to my gynocologist and she informed me Papsmears are no longer performed every two years on women at my age unless you are bleeding.
I asked does spotting count and she said yes and told me what I would be going thru and I agreed to all the tests.
So off to get my ultrasounds. Every other test I was given came up in my patent portal and I wondered why mine didn't and within an hour I get the phone call I had an appointment at 3:45 that afternoon to discuss my thickening of my lining.
Of course I had to google it and 90% of the searches came up as cancer.
When I saw her she explained the my lining was 7mm in Jan and now 7 months later it's at 1.4cm. They also found "a 1.3cm fibroid and multiple nabothian cysts are seen."
Impression: thickened endometrium with heterogenous appearance. Follow up suggested. Endometrium on the previous MRI of pelvis dated 01/04/2016 was 7mm
Fibroid uterus
Now I know it can be cancer or not.
So I wait for them to schedule my Hysteroscopy and a D&C so they can check for abnormal cells.
I'm hoping for an appointment within the week and pathology will take another week cause I have a lot of tears.
And to make my nerves shatter, my 3D mammogram found two nodules in my left breast one at 4mm and the other 5mm. Last year I had an aspiration of a 5mm one so off to see a breast surgeon.
Has anyone ever seen such a fast growth doubled in 7 months? My knees are shaking.
