Any tips to reduce pain in Fibularis Peroneus Longus pain?

Hello
I had my 7th left ankle surgery 3 days ago, for a torn longus tendon (male 47 yo)... I had my fair share of ankle sprains etc as you can guess with 4 reconstructions of ligaments ATL etc.
surgery #6 in March was to repair my 2 ATL tears, and a totally shredded brevis tendon. The only option my surgeon had in March was to consolidate what was left of the Brevis to my Longus. Everything was properly recovering until 4 weeks ago while walking my dogs and trying to hold one of them who started to pull. I heard a crack/snap in my ankle followed by pain; I took it easy just after:elevate, ice etc, and mention it to my surgeon. 2 days later I had a big bruise on the side of my ankle and thus scheduled an appointment right away with my surgeon. After MRI and ultrasound the suspicion was a torn longus around the ankle bone.
Last Thursday my surgeons did the surgery and yes they discovered my longus was torn around the ankle bone. They fixed it with some cadaver tendon, and I am now back at home.

It is still painful where they cut my ankle open but what start to bug me too is the pain I am feeling way higher on the side below my knee, which after searching around is the top area of my Fibularis Peroneus Longus.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to reduce the pain there? If I did not have the cast a light massage will help but here I am at lost on what I could do. Thanks !
