I have had cataract surgery in both eyes. The first one 12 years ago (age 50)and at first I had many floaters that were zapped. Throughout the years I have had an occasional floater/s in that eye, but no big deal there. Around a month ago as I was taking our dogs outside after dark I noticed a flashing of lights in that eye. I immediately had it checked out and they said all was okay with my nerves, etc. after thoroughly looking at the eye. I only notice these in darker areas, not during the day so when I had it checked out I thought it was gone, but still had some a week later and again my eye was checked and said all was good. They put me on a recheck of a month which will be next week. The Dr. said that this was something that could happen as you get older and had had cataract surgery, but about 90% of people they would go away and I did not think to ask how long that would take as I am still having some flashing still. Has anyone else had this happen that can enlighten me.
