Hello,
My case is a long story, but the gist of it is that I had bad orthodontics and bridges that left a mess of my mouth. My teeth were expanded out too far to the point they didn't fit in my mouth anymore (had troubles speaking, eating, closing my mouth). A very bothersome issue for me at the time was that when I would smile and my lips would come down out of the smile, my lips would stick to my crowns so badly that I would have to pull them off. I had orthodontics again twice more to push things back, and now no longer have bridges, but four crowns (the canine teeth and the one next to it towards the back on both sides).
Anyway, this all happened over a period of ten years and was incredibly traumatic for me. I am now very hypersensitive to any feelings in my mouth and no longer know what is 'normal'.
I would like to know what other people feel and to know if I am being overly sensitive or if I may need further corrective work done.
Does anybody ever 'feel their teeth'? It is an odd question, but when your mouth is drier, do you ever feel your upper lips rub against your teeth or stick on them after smiling and speaking? Even if others feel this I don't know that they would notice if it is something they have never thought about. If you purposely let your mouth dry out when smiling and then try to speak, do your lips stick to your teeth?
This is driving me crazy!
