Hi, I wonder if someone can tell me what my blood tests mean? I have searched all over and get different answers on different web pages. I have been diagnosed for 3 yrs with chronic fatigue syndrome and possible fibromyalgia. I was starting to finally get some energy back and then WHAM I suddenly had painful joints all over my body - my hips, hands, feet, knees. My pointer finger on my right hand is so sore that I can't bend it very far and my left thumb and thumb pad is extremely painful, so I can barely, if at all, open any jars or twist top bottles and even holding the steering wheel kills. So my doctor reluctantly ordered Rheumatoid factor, CRP, and sed rate. My sed rate was 29, CRP was .2, and my RF was >15. I am 62 and female if that helps with interpretation. I know my doctor will call me in a few days, but I was hoping to know what this meant sooner. If you are slightly elevated on tests, does that mean you have a mild case of RA or does an elevation, slight or huge, mean you definitely have it? Thanks for reading this rambling mess.
