Okay guys.. So this is going to be a lengthy post.. I apologize in advance & appreciate everyone that takes the time to read it & can give some insight or help! :)
I'm a 27 year old female. I started sleeping with my current boyfriend a little over a year ago.. 13 months. Last year in October.. We had sex one time and it burnt! Never before then! I can't really remember the time frame but I believe @ this point we had not used condoms for about a month.. Well I pondered and pondered.. It scared me! I had previously had clamydia (spelling may be off) twice! In different sexual relationships. So fast forward 8 days later.. I went & got a full 8 panel std screening.. Which included hiv, herpes 1 and herpes 2. 5 days later. Everything came back negative and I was so relieved! Never had this issue again until recently. Well fast forward to June of this year.. June 13th to be exact.. My lip, like facial lip started buuuurning. 24 hours later I had a blister.. Not on the outside of my lip, but not quite deep within .. Like kind of at the opening at the mouth but slightly further in. Well 5 days later it lingered. I just wanted to know what the hell it was! I was terrified it could be a cold sore. I decided to go to urgent care (medexpress) for them to identify it.. The doctor reassured me it wasn't herpes 1 and said it looked like like a burn blister. He even opened my lip with his bare hand! :0 so I kind of tried to suck it up.. But I asked him if maybe he could swab it.. I don't know but cold sores have always scared me & I never hoped to get one and he said he couldn't cause it wasn't an open lesion but if I was really concerned he could blood test me for hsv1 and 2 although it wasn't necessary.. But, I took him up on it.. The nurses had a hell of a time getting the needle in my arm by the way! :0
2 days later they call me and say I tested positive for herpes 1.. Oral herpes.. I took it okay at first but was CONFUSED.. Then I started googling everything.. Devastated since June 20th you could say.. I just couldnt believe it! I took it all in for a day and called the doctor that following day and asked him if he could tell me what my igg antibody read over the phone and he told me he could.. 1.66. Negative on hsv2, just indicating it was under 0.91. No actual reading when negative at lapcorp. I asked him for a prescription.. Started taking acloyvir for the next 3 days and went to quest diganostics Friday the 24th to get retested. On Monday the 27th got my results. Negative for both kinds! Hsv1 was 0.41 and hsv2 was 0.04 both in the negative numbers?
I have since got retested twice again.
July 6th. Both types. Negative hsv1 0.38 hsv2 0.02.
July 28th negative for both again. Type 1 0.39 type 2 0.07.
I have been to the gynecologist 3 times since July 7th! She's starting to think I'm crazy. The first time she did find yeast and I took the medicine.. But my symptoms down there stayed.. Minus the burning with urination .. That went away quickly !She told me I need to quit taking pictures of my vagina area.. Because I've been obsessed at looking at it.. Found razor burn and freaked out, I'll attach a picture if it allows it.. Oh I forgot to mention my boyfriend went to medexpress and got tested June 22nd and came back negative for both types!
Lately.. My lip has been very sensitive & I noticed a pulsating on the inner part.. It's been doing it on & off for 6 days.. Also I've been highly depressed but have been taking buspar 7.5 mg twice a day since July 9th.
The last time I was at the gynecologist (4 days ago) she said I had no yeast and no bacteria in my scrapings and she retested me for clymydia and gonorrhea. Waiting on those results. Also she said she saw nothing & felt nothing that indicated any issues or infections. Wants me to quit wearing undies @ night.. Quit shaving & use all sensitive soaps down there..
I must add 3 things..
I felt really sick for about 3 weeks.. Basically just sore throat.. I took myself to the er July 23rd after being in agony all day..they cultured my throat for strep and mono.. Both came back negative.. I even mentioned to the doctor could it be from hsv1 and he said no nothing indicated herpes in or around my mouth.. Said my throat looked red and irritated and it was probably a nasty viral infection & to take 4 days off of work.. He even wrote me a script for Ativan?! To calm my nerves.. I must look really loonish by now..
A good friend of mine was diagnosed with AIDS in May of this year.. It devastates me.. We've been around each other for years & years .. When he was sick in the hospital he was spitting blood up and I sat by him.. Just scared me.. Not him, the disease, so I ordered an oraquick saliva test.. Took that about 3 weeks ago.. Negative! Thank god!
When me and my boyfriend had sex this morning it burnt! Which has brought me to freaking out again!
If anyone has any suggestions.. Comments .. Anything, please I'll take them. Should I get tested again for hsv1 and 2? Or at least 1?
