My mother-in-law just started using Advair. She is 88 years old and didn't understand the directions (even though we have shown her several times). Before we noticed she had pushed the lever about 10 times. We aren't sure it that means 10 times the dosage is now built up and it would be dangerous to use OR if she has just 'lost' 10 doses. Unfortunately it is a Friday evening and the doctor's office is closed until Monday. Has anyone had this happen before that can advise us on what they have learned? We hate to have her miss the medication but I don't feel comfortable potentially having her take too much.
