First time using a message board so please forgive me but I have been trying to get some advice from either someone whose had this condition or someone who knows a lot about this condition. About 4 years ago I was suffering from extreme foot great toe pain and went to the local Podiatrist to see what was going on. He did a full work up on me and long story short... He said the Hallux is fixed at approxamitely 20-25 degrees plantarlexion and there is no active ROM of the first MPJ. He suggested I get an MRI done and I did with a follow up exam 4 weeks later and the MRI said that there were severe degenerative changes of right 1st MPJ with significant bone marrow edema and subchondral cyst of the 1st metatarsal. That was 4 years ago and I have another Doctors appt scheduled for this monday to see if surgery is what needs to happen. Don't know why i waited so long but with the pain getting worse its that time. Hoping to get another opinion for someone else whose had this condition. Thank you so much in advance.
