I am seven weeks post-op and now in a cam boot for the next few weeks. I am working on increasing the weight bearing over three to four day periods; right now, using crutches with about 50 pounds weight bearing. My question is, as people reached 75 pounds to full weight bearing around 10 days in a camp boot, have you continued using a crutch for a support or is a cane easier?
Also, I will begin my job as a teacher very soon and be on my feet. My cam boot is suppose to come off the week before school begins. I am really worrying about that. I do plan on bringing my scooter to school for walking distances, but I am a little concerned about how recuperation will progress.
