Hi, I am new to the boards and have been having some issues that doctors can't seem to figure out. So I figure I will look outside for some assistance in trying to find a diagnosis. This has been ongoing for months now with no relief in sight. My biggest problem is there dizzy spells and the tightness in my neck. Here is the Mri results.
Technique: Multiplanar T1 and T2-weighted MRI images of the brain were
performed utilizing 20 cc OptiMARK paramagnetic contrast.
Findings:
There is no evidence of restricted diffusion or pathologic enhancement
to suggest acute/early subacute ischemic infarction, neoplasm or
infectious/inflammatory process.
Several punctate nonspecific T2 signal hyperintensity foci abutting
the frontal horns of the lateral ventricles bilaterally. Differential
diagnostic considerations include sequelae of prior infection,
gliosis, microvascular ischemic change or demyelinating disease. This
can also be seen with migraine headaches.
The brain parenchyma is otherwise normal in signal intensity and
morphology with preservation of gray-white differentiation and age
appropriate size of the ventricles and subarachnoid spaces.
The posterior fossa contents and brainstem are otherwise unremarkable.
The 7th-8th cranial nerve complexes, pituitary axis, orbits, paranasal
sinuses, and mastoid air cells are unremarkable.
Patent flow-voids are noted within the intracranial vessels and dural
venous sinuses. The calvarium is intact.
Impression
No acute intracranial abnormality. Nonspecific white
matter foci in the periventricular white matter anteriorly.
Differential diagnostic considerations discussed above.
I have had multiple test but this one I cannot understand the terms but my Dr office stated it shows normal.
