HAEMORRHOIDECTOMY 7 days survival

Today marks my 7 day post-operation. The reason I am writing is because some of the posts had helped me brave through my haemorrhoidectomy operation. I decided to take effort to contribute as well. Expect pain after the operation, but do remember, it is just temporary. Those who are going through this, be brave and have a speedy recovery.

A day before surgery:
- No food and drinks after 6pm. I had grilled chicken steak, mashed potatoes and water for the last meal at 5pm. I tried to keep my portion small, just enough to get through the night.

Operation day:
- Operation time is scheduled at 12pm, day surgery.
- I got up early, no breakfast, no water. Showered, including washing hair. Wore loose clothing the best. I wore a t-shirt dress that is easy to slip on to from the top. No make-up, nail polish, jewellery.
- They perform regional anesthesia, numbing from waist down. I was sedated but was aware of surrounding. After the operation, I was brought to recovery room to ensure my breathing, heart rate, all functioning well. There was no pain throughout. I stayed there under observation. After half or hour there, I got back to my ward to meet further rest. Had my first meal and drink for the day at around 3 to 4pm.I had a cup of milo, water, butter bread and subway veg wrap.
- 7pm, I can't discharge as I wasn't not able to pee. Drank 800ml to 1l , wanting to leave the place ASAP. By 9pm, I urinated. Legs were still a little numb. Left the hospital shortly after.
- Had my first course of medication. Celecoxib,omezole (anti-inflammation) / daflon (de-swell) / fybogel(fiber powder) / paracetamol (painkillers ) / ()
