I was recently diagnosed with pelvic prolapse. Last year I had a positive ANA test after experiencing joint pain in my hand and knee. I see a Rheumatologist, but so far we call it inflammatory arthritis. I worry, and of course, now this prolapse.
I took plaquenil for about 6 months and decided on my own to stop when I got a tattoo. I noticed that while I was on plaquenil I seemed to heal very, very slowly. I have done very well. My knee seems a lot better anyway, and I still have bone effusion that I can feel on my hand, but it's not too bad. I don't want to go back on plaquenil. We'll see what the Rheumy has to say at the end of August when I go back.
As far as my prolapse, I am trying kegels and estrogen cream. I am post menopausal, so prolapse is also a problem that goes along with that. But, of course I worry because of my auto immune problem.
I'm new here.
